About Us

The Northwestern Health Unit has a workplace health promotion team called HealthWorks. Our goal is to help organizations and businesses, and the people that work there, better their health. The HealthWorks program is offered free of charge to workplaces in the Kenora-Rainy River Districts.

Our role in workplace health

The HealthWorks team provides:

• Resources for your health at work, home and play
• An 8-step package to help you get started
• Surveys to help you assess what’s already being done in your workplace, and to look at what else can be done
• Consultations on workplace health promotion
• Support to help you create a workplace health promotion plan
• Phone advice
